Ps 49 summary

Here is the Lord’s message: a wealthy man, despite his riches, eventually dies… and he cannot take anything with him when he dies. He might think he is blessed because he has an estate of splendor and people praise him. However, if he trusts in himself and in his wealth, boasting of it, he will never see the light of life because he does not have wisdom. That is, he does not take account of God. He will decay in his grave. But you—no matter if you are rich or poor—can trust that God will redeem your life from the grave; He will take you to Himself.

Just out of curiosity, are these summaries being put to use somewhere, or are they strictly for your own benefit?

The summaries are for my benefit, but I hope to get them published. I know of at least one person, a pastor, who will use them even if they don't get published.

That's pretty cool. I recently found a commentary my Dad wrote for a seminary class (he was a Baptist pastor) that I would love to finish for him. He passed away a few years ago, so it would be a neat way to spend time with him and his thoughts.
