I love thewritecrowd.  I'm surprised there aren't more members.  It looks like the forum's not being used very much.  That in and of itself probably deters people from joining.  I'm a part of another online writing forum that has tons of members, but I actually much prefer this one in terms of layout.  It's simple and I like that.

We appreciate the compliment. One of our biggest goals for The Write Crowd is to have more people joining our little community and taking advantage of the blogs, podcasts, forums, etc. that we provide. We've struggled to find a way to let people know that we're here. I keep business cards with me that I leave everywhere. I even ordered some postcards before realizing I didn't know who to send them to. As a stay-at-home Dad, my budget is somewhat limited, so advertising in The Writers Digest or other writing magazines is out of reach for now. I'm working on a few ideas to generate some money for such things, but for now we're simply here doing our thing, hoping good word of mouth will bring folks around.

Thank you so much - for not only visiting our site, but for posting and becoming part of our little community. I think The Write Crowd has the potential to be a really special place, made even more special by folks like you.
